B. Pick-up and departure schedule from Hanoi, Vietnam to Lao Bao border gate (Densavan border gate, Laos)
1. Pick up at hotels/guesthouses in Hanoi Old Quarter from 3.00pm - 3.30pm . Pick up at Lao Embassy at 3.30pm. (We pick you up early to avoid traffic jams affecting your schedule)

2. Mr. Hung picks you up – We will provide Mr. Hung’s photo so you can easily recognize him when picking
you up. He will arrange a taxi to take you to Nuoc Ngam bus station. (About 5-7km).
At the bus station, the staff will give you a ticket to check in and get on the bus. We also pick you up at Nuoc Ngam bus station at 4.45pm - 5.00pm. After booking, we will send a confirmation and have instructions for guests to pay and get tickets at the station.

3. Ticket Price: 650,000 VND/person/single cabin (pay to Mr. Hung - the person who picks you up)

6. The bus arrives at Lao Bao border gate at 7:00am on the 2nd day.

7. If you need to enter Laos through Lao Bao border gate ( Densavan border gate, Laos)

For nationalities exempted from visa to enter Laos: You can easily complete immigration procedures.
For nationalities that are not exempt from visa fees to enter Laos - you can apply for a Laos visa at the border (Visa on arrival)

8. After entering Laos

If you want to go to other places in Laos for travelling such as Savannakhek, Thakhek, Vientiane... you can wait at the border gate. There will be many buses departing from Hue, Da Nang through Lao Bao border gate to Savannakhek, Thakhek, Vientiane. You can catch the bus at the border gate.
If you want to re-enter Vietnam (Visa run) with visa exemption to enter Vietnam, it is very easy (it only takes about 1-1.5 hours to complete the procedures).
If you want to re-enter Vietnam (Visa Run) but you are not exempt from visa to Vietnam - You will need to apply for a Vietnam evisa. Depending on your nationality and needs. If you apply for an evisa on the official website of the Immigration Department, it will take about 4-6 days to receive the evisa. If you apply for an evisa through an agent, the fastest is 4-5 hours for you to be able to enter Vietnam with an evisa.
9. Bus from Lao Bao to Hanoi departs at 2.45pm - 3.00pm. Pick-up time is 02:00pm - 2:30pm at the meeting point near the border gate. The bus arrives in Hanoi at 5:00am - 6:00am the next day (Sleep on the bus)

10. On the way, the car stops at restaurants for dinner and lunch. (All meals are not included in the ticket price)

11. Almost all buses have broken wifi.

12. You can buy a Lao sim card or exchange money at Lao Bao border gate.

13. Border gate fees and Laos Visa fees (Visa on arrival – VOA)

- For nationalities exempted from Laos visa and Vietnam visa when exiting and entering the country, you must pay a small fee at the border gate. From 10,000 VND - 20,000 VND / 1 exit or entry. (1 exit from Vietnam, 1 entry into Laos, 1 exit from Laos, 1 re-entry to Vietnam)

- For nationalities that are not exempt from Laos visa fees, applying for a Laos visa at the Densavan border gate, Laos, the cost depends on nationality. Common nationalities are around 50 USD. You should prepare this amount in advance. The border gate accepts both Vietnamese currency and Kip, but using USD will be more beneficial for you.

- After entering Laos, for nationalities that are not exempted from Vietnam visa upon entry, you need to have an Evisa. Only Vietnam evisa is accepted. You can apply for Vietnam evisa through the website of Vietnam Immigration Department - time 4-6 days. You should apply for Vietnam evisa through a visa agent in Vietnam, the fastest time is 4-5 hours with a higher cost than applying for Vietnam evisa yourself.
